    The beautiful state of Gujarat that’s located on the western side of the country is home to several eerie places. This place has a long and strong history.     1. Dumas Beach

    If you want to directly visit the “most haunted place in Gujarat” then this beach is the place. Approximately 21 km from the beautiful city of Surat- Dumas Beach is just like a black tint. The place is thrilling to visit and you will see college students and young couples visiting here. But when you reach here, your first expression will be an exclamation because the entire beach is covered with black sand.

    People living around the beach consider the area to have been a cremation ground for Hindus. Hence the sand color. But there are a lot of other mysterious sayings, beliefs, and also stories.

    The government has strictly forbidden the visiting of people after dark at the beach. Reason being the ghostly figures and strange sounds heard by people. Many visitors have reported hearing laughter that is terrorising.

    2. The Rajkot Road

    Here we are going to talk about the NH-8A that connects Rajkot with Ahmedabad. The national highway’s section that falls in Bagodara started getting traction and attention. That was due to the increasing number of accidents and mishaps occurring here. Not just in the night time but also during the day- dozens of vehicles have been de-routed and clashed headon here.

    Between Bagodara and Limdi the number of accidents have kept on happening. And the numbers only increased. The people here have reported to have seen a spirit of a woman that diverts the attention of the drivers. This causes accidents and many have also faced death. Frequent night-drivers have registered a lot of mysterious happenings around this stretch. Would you dare to drive here during the eerie hours?

    3. Avadh Palace

But this palace has a very dark secret that locals narrate.

    This palace was an abandoned place but now it is haunted by the spirit of a girl. Who was gang-raped and murdered in the building. It is said that the girl was burnt alive in the palace and it is from then till date, that the vengeful spirit of that girl haunts the entire place. And it becomes very creepy as soon as the day falls.

    4. Uparkot Fort

    Location: Mullawada, Junagadh, Gujarat

    If you are visiting Junagadh on your next trip to Gujarat- do not miss out on visiting the Uparkot Fort- but only during the daytime. This amazing fort is built on a plateau and has many important elements or areas inside. People visit the Baba Pyara Caves, Hanuman Temple, Navghan Kuvo, Adi-Kadi Vav, and Jama Masjid. The place is believed to be the center of an ancient Hindu town. And it is said that the entire area around the Jama Masjid of this fort is haunted.

    This fort has a dark and violent history. You can and will hear different things from different people about the fort. But one thing is for sure- that the entire Masjid region in the fort is haunted. Locals don’t dare to visit the fort after sundown. And it is always asked to the visitors that they shouldn’t go to the premises during that time.

    5. GTU Campus

    Location: Ahmedabad

    The ghostly stories and campuses have a quite strong connection I suppose. GTU campus is one of those where you can encounter the ghostly figures. It is believed that the campus is haunted by a lady ghost. And she ensures that her presence is felt even in broad daylight.

    What’s haunting about the place?

    Most people have reported a sudden drop in temperature while using the main elevator of the campus. Also, students have felt someone sitting and walking along with them. And there happens to be no one around. There are many stories and sayings that people have around the campus but no one knows for sure what happened to this woman and why is the campus haunted by her.

    Most people think that this woman had faced a traumatising time during her death and that’s the reason she wants to make her presence felt.
