    If you were to get a sublime experience in North-East India, you might be in disarray because there are a lot of places that suit this description. Not exactly a part of seven sisters but a heavenly place in West Bengal goes by the name Kalimpong.

    There are several places to visit in Kalimpong and these places give you the experience you want from a hill station. This is a petite, ancient town that offers so much more than peace, beauty, and activities to enjoy. Kalimpong is a complete package and an ideal destination to visit in the state of West Bengal.

    Explore some of the finest places to visit in Kalimpong for a memorable vacation in 2022

    1. Delo Park

    To start with, Delo Park is situated on Delo Hill which is the highest point in all of Kalimpong. It is located at an altitude of 5500 ft. above sea level. This place is ideal for honeymooners because it has a lot of amazing sights to offer. The entire park is covered with flower beds that make this place nothing less than heaven.

    While you visit here, your eyes get treated with the beautiful environment, your nostrils with the fragrance spread across the park, and your mind with utmost peace. Make sure you have the camera charged before visiting here.

    2. Pine View Nursery

    There are innumerable places to visit in Kalimpong and each one of them is so much better than the other. Be it the natural beauty of the serenity on offer; the entire town serves you with equality. All the places are equally delightful, just the difference lies in a person’s willingness. One such fine place to visit in the town is Pine View Nursery.

    This must-visit place in the town is home to a variety of succulents and cactus. They are colorful, blissful, and with all the color combinations; it is eye-catching too. If you head to this wonderful destination, you are up for a mesmerizing treat. You just have to pay a nominal fee to enter the premises.

    3. Zang Dhok Palri Monastery

    This Durpin monastery is yet another amazing tourist attraction in Kalimpong and there are a lot of reasons why one should be visiting here during their trip to this amazing town of West Bengal. It is one of those rare monasteries that show a rare three-dimensional appearance. The building houses a huge collection of artifacts, and paintings, and flaunts its amazing architecture. This monastery is located on the popular Darpin Hill that is located 1372 m above sea level.

    When you are full of the beauty this monastery holds, take a round around the monument. You will witness the amazing flora and fauna that the surroundings have on offer.

    4. Mangal Dham Pranami Temple

    As we discussed right in the beginning, Kalimpong is not only about virgin beauty but so much more than that. If you are a devotee visiting here, then Mangal Dham Pranami Temple is one place where you can head to offer your prayers to the lord. The temple sprawls across a huge area and is only a kilometer away from the bus station.

    This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was established in 1940. It is yet another peaceful place where people love to spend hours and hours. While you visit here, you can sit in the temple and become a part of the group chanting the lord’s name. You can also enjoy the time here simply by soaking in the positive aura of the temple.

    5. Kalimpong Science Centre

    Kalimpong Science Centre is another wonderful destination that is located on Deolo Hill and is about 9 km from the Kalimpong bus station. It is another wonderful tourist attraction that is visited by a lot of tourists throughout the year. It not only offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings but also gives a great time inside the building. It has a lot of equipment that can be used to know more about the scientific things going around in the world.

    You can come here to enjoy the pleasant weather, explore the center and also enjoy the sublime view of the surroundings. All of that in one place. Kalimpong Science Centre is truly one of those places that shouldn’t be missed at all.

    6. Lepcha Museum

    Are you one of those people who are looking for ways to know more about the rich culture of a place? Have a keen interest in understanding and knowing the past of a place? If yes, then Kalimpong does have an ideal attraction for you. Lepcha Museum is the place you should be heading off to. This museum has a rich culture and art collection of the indigenous tribe- Lepcha. This was the tribe that used to live here long back and their remains are collected and showcased in this museum.

    You can check a lot of things here including manuscripts, musical instruments, artifacts, religious items, and much more.

    7. Gouripur House, Kalimpong

    While you head from the Kalimpong town to the Durpin Dara; just about 2 km from the main town is this amazing haunting building named Gouripur House. This is believed to be still possessed by the poet Rabindranath Tagore. It is not said that you should enter but clicking a few pictures from the outside can truly be world-class.

    8. Morgan House

    Morgan house is located approximately 3 km from the central point of Kalimpong. This is a huge mansion that was built by Mrs. and Mr. Morgan in the 1930s amidst the verdant green beauty of this place. This gorgeous place is still an attraction where a lot of people love visiting so that they can witness the nature beauty of Kalimpong; even though the surrounding area is said to be haunted by the locals.

    Now, while you plan your visit to Kalimpong, make sure you are visiting here during the best time or the ideal time so that you can enjoy your trip. Irrespective of the number of days you come here for and your budget; do add all the above-given attractions in your list. These places should be visited at least during your trip. And if there is a time constraint, you can only visit these places. They will not only give you a good time and a memorable trip but also the hang of what Kalimpong is all about.
