    Pelling is a beautifully located destination with a range of hotels on both sides of the road. Situated in the West Sikkim, this beautiful ridge is amazingly decked with jaw-dropping beauty and lush green forests all around. From explorers to families; everyone and anyone visiting the town of Pelling gets hit by awe-inspiring beauty.

    From less-traveled trails to amazingly designed monasteries; one can find a lot of places to either explore or visit in the town of Pelling. It is not just the mainstream trekking and hiking that this place has on offer, there is a range of other outdoor activities as well that can be done.

    If you are planning on visiting Pelling, then here are some amazing places to visit in Pelling in 2022.

    1. Pemayangtse Monastery

    Situated in the Pemayangtse region and revered as one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim- Pemayangtse Monastery is a well-known and visited attraction in the state. It has a strong religious significance for the locals.

    What makes visiting here even better is its location. Pemayangtse Monastery is located on a hilltop that allows visitors to have an amazing birds-eye view of the surrounding ranges. The Pemayangtse Monastery boasts its past and visitors can enjoy the view of the Rabdentse ruins from the top.

    While you head to the Pemayangtse Monastery- one of the best attractions of Sikkim, you also get a view of the Kanchenjunga range.

    2. Rabdentse Ruins

    While you visit the Pemayangtse Monastery you will be crossing the historic capital of Sikkim which was ruled for several ages. But for the visitors, the only thing that’s left is the Rabdentse ruins. The ruins are often visited by explorers and history buffs. This amazing attraction has a historic charm to maintain and its location on the lower hillock of the Pemayangtse Monastery makes things so much easier for the visitors.

    Rabdentse Ruins was the ruling capital of Sikkim till 1814 AD and the ruins can be visited but you need to take precautions as it is undertaken by archaeological survey of India. They have the rights to restore and maintain the site.

    3. Khecheopalri Lake

    The next top tourist destination of Sikkim is the Khecheopalri Lake which is more than just an attraction. This lake has a lot of significance as it is a part of a holy Buddhist circuit. It is an important lake for not only Buddhists but Hindus as well. The lake is situated in a village that goes by the same name. This lake is also known to be blessed by Lord Padmasambhava and hence people believe it is a wish-fulfilling lake.

    4. Sanghak Choeling Monastery

    Astonishing sites and amazing places are two important things that define Pelling. One of the attractions that fit in both these descriptions is the Sangachoeling Monastery. Believed to have been established in the early 17th century the Sangachoeling Monastery is located on a ridge in the beautiful town of Pelling.

    If you want to visit here, the best time for the same is between March and June because the weather of Sikkim during this time is quite pleasant. The actual building caught fire and when it was restored, the team brought back the original beauty of the place. And the artifacts were intact. These two things have intrigued people to visit here lately.

    5. SKY WALK , Pelling,Sikkim

    Also known as Glass Skywalk is an amazing man-made creation located in Pelling, Sikkim. Located at an astonishing height of 7200 ft. the skywalk offers a beautiful and enthralling view of the surroundings at the same time.

    The walking path from one point to another is a thick glass sheet that is transparent. While you walk on the bridge, you get chills in your spine. This amazing colossal structure allows people to show what they are made of. The structure was inaugurated in 2018 and has been a tourist hub since then. Indians have to pay a fee of just 20 INR whereas the foreigners have to give a 50 INR fee. The time to enjoy it here is between 9 am and 6 pm.

    6. Tashiding Monastery

    Tashiding Monastery is another religious site in the state of Sikkim. Precisely, this beautiful structure is located approximately 40 km from Geyzing which is in West Sikkim. It is believed that Tashiding is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. Beautifully located on the top of Rathong and Ranjit Rivers, this monastery was built in the year 1717.

    The place is very pristine and attracts a lot of people throughout the year. While you visit the monastery, you get to enjoy the stunning view of Mount Kanchenjunga. While you visit here, have a look at the carvings and the mantras written on the stone.

    7. Rimbi Orange Garden

    First things first; if you are visiting here during October, you can enjoy the Prophet’s birthday celebration which is also a grand event in Pelling. Take a guided tour of this aromatic field and yes you can get a chance to taste the organic and fresh orange juice while visiting here.

    While you visit here, your eyes get treated with such amazing beautiful sight, and simultaneously, your nostrils also get filled with the amazing fresh aroma of the oranges. Lately, people have started visiting the garden a lot and it has made this place one of the finest destinations in all of Sikkim.

    While you visit here do not forget to visit the Rimbi Falls that’s hardly 1 km away from this location.

    8. Upper Pelling – Football Ground

    We all know how important football is for the people of the North-East and most of the exceptionally well players come from these 7-states. This is not a coincidence but there are reasons behind it.

    If you are a nature lover or an adventure enthusiast, Phamrong Falls is one of the finest places you should visit during your trip. Approximately 35 km from Peeling and hardly 7 km from Yuksom; Phamrong Falls is an astonishing place to visit.
