The height of Qutub Minar is 73 meters, and it has five stories. However, you can’t go inside the Qutub Minar. Earlier, common people also used to go to the summit, but after an accident in 1981, they were banned from going inside.
There are many historical buildings in and around the Qutub Minar complex. It is written in Sanskrit in Brahmi script on the non-rusting iron pillar in the premises that this pillar of Vishnu was built on a hill called Vishnupad Giri. The Iron Pillar is also known as the Ashoka Pillar. This pillar, 24 feet high, weighs more than six tons. It is said that it never rusts. It is popular among the people who come here that if you touch this iron pillar with your back and surround it with opposite hands and touch the fingers behind, then all your wishes will be fulfilled. The complex of Qutub Minar has a big lush green park where you can spend your evening with your favorite people.
