    Just over 200 km from Bangalore, situated in the foothills of the Western Ghats is the beautiful hill station of Sakleshpur. It is a dreamland for people living in Bangalore and other nearby cities. Sakleshpur offers a great deal of rejuvenation and beauty. It is also known to offer a balance between thrill and beauty to all visitors. Although the best time to visit Sakleshpur is between September and February; you will still see a good crowd here throughout the year.     2. Manjarabad Fort

This is an octagonal-shaped fort that was built by Tipu Sultan in 1792 as a storehouse of arms and ammunition. This masterclass structure not only stored the arms but was a great defense for the ruler against the Britishers. And the star-shaped structure also offered a great view of the surroundings.
    This uniquely designed and constructed fort now serves as a tourist spot with hundreds of visitors every year. The walls of the fort were constructed with granite and in today’s time you get to see the environment of the past encapsulated in the vicinity of this fort. There are tunnels and passages passing from this fort to Srirangapatna Fort.
