    You might have heard a lot of times that Cherrapunji is also known as “Home to clouds.” And you also might have already understood the fact that why is this said! That’s right, it is because Cherrapunji is the second wettest place on earth. The god of rain is quite pleased with the place as it receives approximately 11359.4 nm of rainfall every year.

    Misty hill station, dense forests, beautiful caves, and a number of amazing places to visit- all of these together make Cherrapunji a wonderful tourist destination. And that’s the reason why the hill station is visited by many adventure junkies and nature lovers throughout the year.

    1. NohKaLikai Falls

    NohKaLikai Falls is known to be one of the finest destinations of not just Cherrapunji but Meghalaya as well. This is also the tallest plunge fall in the entire country cascading down from an astonishing height of 1115 ft. People can camp and trek up to the pool of water and also enjoy swimming.

    We will still advise people who cannot swim should stay away from taking a dip just to be safe.
