In the year 1911, Madam Frances Garnett Orme, one of the most famous personalities of Britain in her time, visited here. She was found dead in her hotel room which was locked from the inside. It was known that she was poisoned with strychnine, a poisonous powder. What’s strange about this event was that the forensic doctor who inspected her body was also found mysteriously dead with the same powder.

People have registered that they get a sudden, continuous, and loud bang on the door after midnight. Some also claim to have seen a woman with creepy attire walking down the hallway. People say that she is still looking for her murderer. But it completely depends on whether to believe it or not.

2. Mullingar Mansion

Location: Landour Cantonment, Mussoorie

The mines of this place were very popular for extracting limestone. It is said that there were approximately 50,000 workers who were mining at this place. There were no protection gears that were given to them. And the environment around here became very problematic. These people started suffocating and some of them started falling sick. It was due to the unhealthy and toxic environment that this started happening. Over time people started coughing out blood and it was then that approximately 50,000 workers died here together over a course of a few days.

The mine area is also said to have caused the deaths of many people afterward. Car accidents, truck accidents, and many other things have happened here over time.
